Taxonomic revision of an Antillean group of mistletoes (Dendrophthora, Viscaceae) present in Cuba

A taxonomic review of Dendrophthora brachyclada, D. cupressoides, marmeladensis, moniliformis, picotensis and podocarpicola in Cuba was conducted through the direct comparison measurement vegetative reproductive characters, considering geographical, ecological altitudinal distributions host trees. The most important morphological characters found to separate species are discussed, an identification key for all Cuban squamate is provided. Besides review, nomenclatural changes proposed, including designation a syntype cupressoides third-step lectotypes selleana. Results suggest that distinct species, while moniliformis should be recognized as synonym marmeladensis.
